Lorsque vous lirez cet édito, la Société Royale Saint-Hubert aura organisé l’édition
2016 de l’Exposition Canine de la Section Europe de la FCI à Bruxelles.
Plus de 12.000 chiens ont été inscrits à cet événement prestigieux !!! N’est-ce
pas incroyable? Cela dépend du regard que l’on porte sur ces chiffres ! C’est
incroyable en soi parce qu’un tel nombre de participants place cette Exposition
Canine de la Section Europe de la FCI dans le top 3 de toutes les Exposition Canines
de la Section Europe de la FCI jamais organisées. C’est incroyable parce que le
Monde n’a pas tourné rond ces derniers temps, mais pourtant, les exposants et les
éleveurs veulent effectivement vivre leur passion pour les chiens et continuent
à participer à toutes sortes d’événements canins, que ce soient des expositions
ou des épreuves sportives. Nous les en remercions vivement.

Upon invitation of the FCI, Four Paws present their campaign promoting Responsible
Ownership at the FCI European Dog Show 2016

Today, after the daily dog show press conference, the Fédération Cynologique Internationale
(FCI) invited all the stakeholders in the canine world to attend Four Paws’
presentation
of their activities in the framework of their campaign promoting Responsible Ownership.
James Pirnay, Companion Animal Policy Coordinator at the European Office of Four
Paws, introduced us to the CAROdog project, an EU multi-stakeholder approach to
canine population knowledge management leading to responsible ownership. Through
the Dogs for People project in Romania, he showed us the crucial role of education
in responsible ownership and how it can benefit both stray dogs and people.
